Left sided neck/shoulder/jaw pain

Options

Hey guys, first post here. I'm 27. Diagnosed 4 months ago. I've completed 4 AC treatments & just had my second taxol yesterday. All throughout treatment my infusion days have been Tuesday. Like clockwork on Saturday/Sunday my left side of my neck, shoulder, behind my ear hurt so bad, like I'm bruised and hurts to barely even be touched. I chalked it up to neulasta until I started taxol and got the same pain on the same days, this time worse and like I am so tense I can't relax anything. I brought it up to my oncologist yesterday that it was really scaring me and she immediately put in for an MRI and bone scan. I asked if I should be concerned and she said the scans are more for me than for her. My PET scan 3.5 months ago was totally clear (besides tumor in right breast) and no node involvement....but I'm freaking out. She said bone pain isn't a chemo side effect, just neuropathy. All I can think is that I have gone metastatic. I guess I should add that I'm stage IIB, grade 3 IDC to the right breast. Tumor 2cm and has become no longer palapable. my tumor is having a great clinical response and I have been told it's a big possibility that I'm completely cancer free when they go in to do my double. All great news eh? Until now. Now I'm terrified. Can anybody relate? Sorry it's such a long post.

Your post is not too long ! We are really sorry that you find yourself a "member of the club nobody wants to join" at such a young age. Your body has a lot going on to it right now, so try your best not to jump to conclusions! One step at a time. When do you get your tests?

    We're here for you!

Thank you! I appreciate that ❤️ I should be getting the tests in about a week or so. My insurance is tricky so I have to wait for approval first.

Try to distract yourself, when and where possible, for the next few weeks with positive things. We understand the worries with waiting!
