Am I coming or going??

So I am trying to get through my another waiting period. First was getting in for my biopsy after feeling a lump, results were received IDC within 3 days, then I waited 2.5 weeks to see the surgeon, now I wait until 8/9 for first Ct scan, and 8/14 for 2nd scan! Biopsy determined I also have Cancer in my LN under my left arm. Now to see if it has spread to my bones/organs, and decisions on Lumpectomy or Masectomy. I feel as though I am still in limbo (as before seeing surgeon) while waiting to have the additional test's!

Crystal, the waiting is really the absolute worst! I am not sure why you have a stage already, if surgery hasn't been done, but I hope you indeed are Stage 1. Did they do a SNB when they did your biopsy? You will feel like a guinea pig before they are done, but it's all to find out what they can do to give you the best odds in beating it. Tests, tests and more tests! Once there is a treatment plan in place, you will probably feel much better! Best wishes moving forward.

sorry for your diagnosis. Just take it one day at a time. Seems cliche but it's absolutely true. It will likely be ok. I found my lump and also had to wait what felt like forever for all tests and scans. Now after almost a year I feel pretty good.

Would suggest you consider a mastectomy. I felt that getting rid of the tissue in that Breast gave new cancer no whrrr to go. Maybe simplistic but my onc agreed it was best and also that the only reason to hang onto it would be cosmetic reasons. Good Luck

Thank you for the support ladies! So my treatment plan has been made and it starts with 8 weeks of chemo, 1x every two weeks, followed by a short break and 12 weeks of 1x per week. With great resistance, I am choosing a mediport which I am experiencing major anxiety over! I have never been so fearful, it seems after every procedure I am more apprehensive, please tell me I am panicking for no reason! Do they always give you happy juice?
