I'm doing chemo before surgery. AC done 2 taxol left. My question is, if the tumor hasn't shrunk does that mean the chemo isn't working on any cancer that may be floating around elsewhere in my body? I'm starting to question why chemo at all for this kind of cancer. My lymph nodes do seem to have responded though, no longer palpable. Anyone who went this route with no shrinkage end up having all cancer cells die off in tumor?

I see my Onc wed so will discuss with him but curious of others results. Thanks!

I was on the same chemo schedule - i am done with 4 DD AC and 3 DD taxol , last one is next week.

My MO examined last time and it seems tumor have shrunk considerably. Also my Breast Surgeon has requested MRI this week , so will know for sure

Chemo works throughout your body killing off any fast multiplying cells( abnormal). So chemo must have done its job since you lymp nodes are no longer palpable
