    Hi Ladies!

I am so happy that I found this site. The support and encouragement here is amazing. I was diagnosed with IDC on July 14th and had a lumpectomy on the 26th. I am doing well, but waiting for the pathology report is stressful. I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello.

Hey, girl, I bet you are glad to have the surgery behind you. Waiting on test results is stressful, but your biopsy should have provided some early information. Are you Estrogen and Progesterone positive? Her2 (positive or negative)? Grade?

Your turn around was quick! I was dx June 22 and won't have surgery until August 10. Your doctors must be really on it, which is good. I needed second opinions and ended up switching doctors.

I'm sorry you need to be here, but glad you found this community. I've received so much support and I've learned a lot here. I'm sure you will too.

Thanks for responding ladies. It's nice to have others to talk to that are going through the same thing.

Here's a little about me and my diagnosis: I am a 50 year old high school teacher, married for 29 years, with a 17 year old daughter who is a senior this year. I am still premenopausal, but last time my gyn checked, I was very close. I've been having night sweats for a year or so.

My biopsy report says: ER+, PR+, HER2 not overexpressed (1+/3+), Ki-67 20%. I had 2 lumps removed in left breast. They were grade 1.

My surgeon said that this is all good. I see him again on Tuesday and hopefully he will have the pathology from the sentinal nodes. He is very optimistic about it not spreading.

I see the RO on Tuesday.
