Biopsy 3 weeks ago still sore...

Hello,

I had a breast biopsy 3 weeks ago (July 5) it was a a 7mm fibroadenoma benign. My breast is still sore, a bit swollen, and today I see 2 red splotches on my breast!! They are not itchy. What the heck is going on? I have an appointment tomorrow just wondering is anyone has gone through this? Gotten an infection after biopsy? Am I allergic to the marker they put in me? Ughh. I know you can't diagnose me but just venting Thank you!

Highly unlikely you are allergic to the marker. They are the same material used in artificial hips, etc. or the plates and screws used for bone fixes.

thank you! I figured as much. My mind is starting to worry the red splotches, sore, my armpit is sore. Would my core biopsy have picked up inflammatory BC?

I would think an infection (or bruising) would be more likely since your biopsy was entirely benign

Thank you MelissaDallas! I wasn't sure if the biopsy would pick up IBC. I was really starting to worry, since it's 3 weeks later and the 2 red splotches & armpit soreness( like I worked out extra hard, or pulled muscle) just happened today. My breast does have the soreness of a bruise when I check it out
