I didn't see any recent threads about this, so i want to find out... Does anyone here have a recommendation on a blog or online journal site that they are using to update friends & family? I have been very private about my diagnosis since we have a family business and trying to keep a low profile, keeping business as usual, literally! But I have told some family members, my close friends and people at my church. And I want to have a way to update everyone without having to text, call or email each time. I have a Wordpress account that I started for work but haven't kept it up so I considered starting a new blog about my journey. But I have heard there are also sites like caringbridge and mylifeline.org that allow you to keep a private, unsearchable, members-only journal.

Of these 2 options, I am leaning towards mylifeline because it seems more cancer-focused. Also, I don't think you need an account to view a journal but I could be wrong. I don't want to have those that I invite have to set up an account just to keep tabs on me. I can't do a private FB group for this same reason. Half of my family are anti-FB.

I use CaringBridge.org (in fact, that’s the first place I went when I got my diagnosis, as I hadn’t heard of BCO and was pretty well-informed about my cancer from all the reading I did (especially surgeons Susan Love's & Elisa Port’s books and Laura Esserman’s articles). When I have an update, I post a link on my FB page as well as in my fan e-mail newsletters (I’m a singer-songwriter with a website).
