Breast Implant Infection and Nerve Damage

I am 4+ years free of breast cancer. My implant got severely, severely, severely infected about 3 weeks after surgery. The surgeon didn't take the implant out. He sent me to a wound clinic. The infection lasted about 2 weeks before the implant was inadvertently cut and blue dye spewed everywhere. The RN called the surgeon who explained it was methylene blue dye. What was left of the implant and all remaining infectious matter was taken out 4 days later. I ended up being healed over a 6 month time frame. I got Colt difficult so was not a candidate for implant surgery at that time.

I sustained severe nerve damage to my right breast side. The nerve damage was so severe that I had to quit both of my jobs and cannot function well enough to do any household tasks, cannot do any activities. The pain was unbearable. I have tried my 2 options to no avail and am now wearing a fentanyl patch, taking Oxycodone for breakthrough pain, Lyrica, 3 antidepressants, sleep aids and opioid constipation meds. I am out of bed no more than about 15% of my time.

Has anyone else suffered a grossly infected implant where the surgeon didn't take the implant out. There are still some great doctors but I have learned a whole level of disrespect for the medical community as a whole. I sometimes feel that I am no more respected than a cow.
