I recently was switched from faslodex and ibrance to femara and ibrance due to traveling. I wonder which is the better combo?

But my big question-is remission possible at this stage? I have had clean scans last year for months then some liver spots in January of this year. No chemo just switched to the pills and shot. I do not Google stats, I think they are outdated, so how do we know how long it is possible to live with this? It's a crap shoot? I just want someone to say, you are going to be ok. Where is our miracle drug? Why hasnt anyone found it yet? I'm tired of hearing of ppl dying, hearing cancer killed do and so in movies and books. WTH? It's a national epidemic, why does it seem like nothing is being done!? UGH. Sorry, this is my rant today.

    Xoxo.

let's hope that it is possible and that the research will find the combo that kills the BC without killing us first

AZ, no need to apologize for your post, I do not see it as ranting. You ask very legitimate questions.

In my way of thinking, yes, remission is possible. I've read several books on the matter, one called Radical Remission: Surviving Cancer Against All Odds by Kelly A. Turner, highly recommended. You can google spontaneous remission and read up on different examples of it, (altho you do have to be careful what info you read online for the truth factor). But the above book is well researched.

Another book, The Blue Zones, is about different areas in the world where people live the longest. Some overcome disease with certain lifestyle adjustments. It is also an interesting read.

I have read true accounts of women living with mbc for at least 18 -20 years and sometimes more.

Here is a quote I read somewhere and it spoke to me, so I want to share it with you: "The people who do well create a place in their mind and in their spirit where they are well, and they live from that place."

I do try to live the fullness of one day and then repeat it the next day. Maybe you are the one who can say to yourself each morning "I am going to be okay." And then live the day that way. My best to you.
