lump on reconstructed site

One year ago I had reconstruction using a tap flap method (not taking the latissimus doors). I also had an elective mastectomy on my right breast and his was reconstructed at the same time using a stattus to hold the implant in place. Now I have found a lump on the 'healthy' breast removed and I think it might be from scar tissue (ie. where the stitch was, scar tissue forming around it) but I don't know and it is making me nervous. Does anyone have experience of this?

Hi kisse, and welcome to Breastcancer.org,

We're sorry you're having this scare, but you've come to the best place for support and advice. It does sound like this may be scar tissue, but as always, a check in with your doctor is always the best policy.

We hope you get answers soon -- please let us know what your doctor says!
