Is a little pus a concern post exchange?

hi all! I had my exchange surgery 2 months ago, all went well and I've healed nicely. Yesterday I noticed a wee (very small) bump under the scar line, I squeezed it and pus came out. Same thing again today. A few weeks back there was another small bump that was an undisolved stitch, which once removed with tweezers healed up fast. The breast itself is not red or painful (I had an infection when the expander was placed which was painful and red), just the area around the tiny hole is red.Now there is a wee hole where the pus came out and its weepy. Is it worth contacting my surgeon? It's weird that something is happening now, 2 months later. Does that sound normal to you all??

Kat...yes! Contact your doc ASAP. There should be no pus anywhere around the surgical site. Pus means infection. It sounds like its localized at this point but you want to make sure it doesn't get worse. BTW I am a RN. Good luck and keep us posted.

Thank you both for your replies! I am contacting my surgeon now. Bugger it, just when I thought I was home free from all this crap too
