Drainage: Is it common 1.5 years after Radiation?

Options

Is it normal to have drainage off and on after rad Jan 2016 and my TE replacement with Silicone/fat graphing in June 2016?

PS wants to do a LD flap. Have to decide and would like to know if this happened to anyone else.

He's not addressing the drainage problem? I had a little leak on my rad side on the suture line. He put me on prophylactic abx and had me put neosporin on it with a dressing. We waiting max time he felt comfortable waiting, checking me each week to make sure it's not getting worse. After a month of no change he stitched it up and left it in for the max 3 weeks to see if it doesn't close on it's own. If it didn't then last resort is to pull implant out let it heal and in 6 mo try again. Thankfully it healed on it's own but I'm still on a 2 month wait to make sure before he'll open me up again. Does your ps know you have drainage? I can't imagine how it's normal.

yes the drainage is being addressed and waiting to see if it clears up.

It's happened twice before. 1st time had surgery to redo implant. 2nd found a rogue suture and once out healed without surgery. This is the 3rd time in 6 1/2 months.

PS wants to do the LD flap to ensure implant doesn't fall out and need a ER surgery. If the implant is removed the recon will be lost.
