another person I haven't seen in a little while is Leapfrog! I hope everything is ok with you darling. Just sending thoughts your way! Hugs my friend ~M~ And yes Claudia NO-1! Hope all is well. ๐

Just left MOโs office, all good. My small bone met is stable, nothing new in the bones or anywhere. Liver and lungs still normal, no mets. Only 1 shrinking lesion in the brain, the others 4 cannot be found and thereโs nothing new. Moving scans from every 3 to 4 months now
-
Mae~That is wonderful news my friend! I am thrilled that you already know the results. You can now relax and know you did a great job and are taking great care of yourself. Keep it up! Like I said, your attitude is so catching and positive. I am sending bighugs to you my friend. Way to go ! ๐๐๐๐๐๐ฅโจ๐ง๐ปโ๏ธ Much love ~M~

So happy to hear Mae
-
Mae - Woohoo! Doing the happy dance for you! Here's to all of us having good scans this year!๐๐๐
-
Wooooo-hoooo Mae, what a nice report! So happy for you!
-
I can't believe how many people that I forgot to mention earlier! Wow Micmel, we have really grown! I was wondering about Leagfrog also. I hope all is well with her.
Well, I made reservations for our first campout this year! The end of January, we are going with a group we have known for years. It will be good to see everyone! We are going to a beautiful State Park a couple of hours away. We always see tons of deer there. We are also planning a trip to the Great Smoky Mountains in the fall with a group of riders we met in BSF last fall. We are going to shoot for a trip to Bryson City, NC in the summer. I want to see if I can talk Dh into a non-camping trip to Maine and possibly Vermont this summer. The first 3 mentioned trips are all with the horses!
Hugs and prayers,
Claudia

Well I quit the class today...I feel so much better like a weight has been lifted, I am going to do a class called A Time to Heal, not sure I may be the only stage 4 person in there but my nurse navigator will be the leader so it will be ok....
-
Claudia~ I agree we have grown , and it makes me very happy and I know that many days you all have gotten me through some crappy times. I can't believe all the riding you do, you're amazing. I had my first trip away from home for one day and I felt like I could sleep a week from it. I did ok today. On my break week. Start #16 this weekend. My mouth didn't bother me as much this month as months past. So odd how the side effects have no rhyme or reason. This has been a good month, I enjoyed the holidays so much and I feel happy for all our good scans. Please be safe when you're traveling. I always worry about enough rest. But then again I worry about everything. So good to see our little pub with no empty seats! I just want it to become like a family. No judgment, just a place to come and feel unconditional love and support. Thank you for helping me create this thread. Without all of you! It wouldn't be anything. ! Here we are 2040 posts later. That's pretty good! It warms my heart that we all share! Much love ~M~
Mae~ awesome again. โฃ๏ธ๐
-
keetmom~ I am very glad you finally just quit. Now it's a done deal and no more stress associated with worrying about it. It's awesome that you're already planning something else to keep you busy....but then again, I am not at all surprised! Much love ~M~
-
Mae, great scan results for you! That's so awesome! I know you're happy! Claudia, thank you for your encouraging words. Just going through an adjustment period...this time last year I was working and busy. Now I'm tired tired tired and stuck at home for days on end. I'm grateful to be here though because I know I can't physically work anymore. We sold our second car when I stopped working to save money so I'm missing the freedom to just get in the car and go. I'm going out to breakfast with my friends this week which always makes me feel better. One day at a time
-
Great news Illimae!!! I'm so happy for you
-
Mae, Congratulations for those great scan results. WOOHOO
-
Lynnwood~Hi darling! I also find myself in the House says in a row. This frigid weather makes that seem ok to me. When it was warm I was walking. Now i Walk up and down the stairs. I alo tired tired tired. It's a cycle. I could easily sleep 12 hours without even trying.... and still want more, then I feel foggy for another hour! I could never work. It wouldn't work out to good at all. Sending you big hugs. Much love ~M~
-
Legomaster~Welcome To the thread! It's always nice to see a new face. Hope you will become part of the supportive family we have built here together. It's a place to share anything and everything. Family is important. But the main thing is finding others to let it out, so that the time with your family can be less stressful and more focused and happy! Sending you welcome thoughts!
Lynne(50's) hope you're keeping warm up there. I hear abreak is coming. I cannot wait. I haven't seen my grand puppy, it's been just to cold to even visit. I miss him. Much love ~M~
-
Mae, just checking mail and seeing your results! Woohoo!! Great news!!!!
-
so happy for you, Mae! Now is time to enjoy life to the fullest!
Hugs and prayers to have many more good results like this one
-
Thanks all! Hope everyone has a nice evening and good scan results too. I think there were a couple of us this week. Gotta get up early and go back to drowning in work tomorrow, ugh... oh well.
-
Mae, fantastic news.. so happy for you!
-
Mae~I hope you got some sleep last night knowing that you're kicking some serious cancer butt! Could'nt be happier about those results. Just wishing you didn't have that stress from work. That's what you get for being so good at it. You're a strong woman and we love you!
Minnie~ I showed my daughter your photo . (My princess without a country) said she wanted to move there lol. I can't disagree how lovely that pic was. But it's their first answer to everything. โI want that" or โwhen I have my own house" it kinda makes me giggle, when this is the same girl who two days ago was asking where her shoes were. Of course I said โtry the shoe rack!" โYou know that tall shelf thing in the garage that has all our shoes onit?" I have to laugh at them sometimes. They think they are so capable of things , but can't even solve the little things yet lol. Someday it will click. I just hope it's soon!
Hello to all, hope everyone is warm! Sun sun sun sun sun sun. That's my chant of the day! Much love ~M~
-
Just calling in to say hi to everyone. I've been a bit caught up with events within the family and haven't had time to read your posts. When everything settles down again, I'll catch up. Sending you all a big hug
-
Leapfrog~I was just thinking about you! โฃ๏ธ Understand the family things by far always come first. I am just happy to know you're doing alright. We are herewaiting to hear how you are.... whenever you're ready!! Much love ~M~

Great to read that everyone is "soldiering on".
I'm doing fairly well. Tired of waiting to see if the Falsodex is going to work, and tired of the nagging pain in my right side. And tired of my joints being so creaky. There! Got all of my complaining out! We have had a break in the cold temps, so hopefully can get my grandson outside to sled and go ice skating. He was home with an ear ache yesterday. With the weather, school break, illness-my house is littered with books and games! This is a busy week with appmnts, kid activities, including spaghetti supper at school on Friday. I managed to volunteer to make desserts and help in the kitchen. The supper raises funds for our Woodside One Wheelers, which is a unicycle club! Wait, didn't I already do all of this with my daughter?
Mae- AWESOME results!! 1000 Hallelujahs!! Bighome- if you need any info about coming to Maine, happy to help!
Micmel- so glad the Court of Honor went so well. i know you were very apprehensive, and I don't blame you. We have to do extra planning for trips in this MBC club. I get really wimpy at home on many days, but if I can make myself get up or get out, I actually feel more energetic. I keep telling myself that, but some days the couch with a blanket is beckoning.
Keetmom- happy you are back in your comfort zone. hope the new class is just right!
Minnie- OMG, how I love Spain! Can't wait to return- looking to see Basque region. I enjoyed 2 weeks in Ireland in September. It was fantastic! Loved everything, except the weather! Your photo is gorgeous.
Lynne(Manchester) hang in there. You deserve to be in a special zone with extra TLC as you recover from the insult of chemo.
Leapfrog- hope things get calmer for you soon.
Grannax-relieved that your daughter is successfully getting improvement.
Blueshine, Gracie, 50's Girl, Legomaster, Divine, and others....Sending love to each, and may the force be with you. MJH

It seems that we all have to make our plans in pencil and carry a big eraser. I was in the countdown to having my PET today. But, on Sunday, I started coughing a lot and it just got worse. So, I had to reschedule for next week. Grr Instead, I'lll go see my PCP today, to rule out flu, I hope.
Meanwhile, my DS is getting bids and advice about the remodeling that will have to be done on the house they bought. I don't know any details on what he's found out. But it's a huge project. I think they have big decisions to make, if the bids are too high they can back out of the offer. I think! I saw it, Fixer Upper for sure.
Do any of you watch Fixer Upper? I wish they could get Chip and Joanna to come redo this house. Evidently, they don't come this far north. The program is on HGTV on Tuesday night. They redo homes in the Waco area, which is less than two hours south of here.
My DD is still healing, her black eye continues to change color everyday. It's still painful, too. But, she's coming with me to doc today. She really worries about me if i get the least little sniffle. I know I'm immuno compromised, so I have to be careful. I would vote to let this run its course at home, but she won't take No for an answer. She's my Pit Bull, when it comes to things like this. I guess all of us need a pit bull on our side during MBC. No offense to pit bull owners, I believe it's all in how they're raised. All breeds can be great dogs if trained and loved. Tami takes it as a compliment when I call her my pit bull. Ha

Good morning all! Mayo day today. I will be reading posts, but unable to answer. I hope everyone has a great day!
Hugs and prayers,
Claudia

The sun is out! The sun is shining! Woohoo, the sun is shining!!!!๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ ๐

Mae, woo hoo! I am so happy for you.
M...ahhh, the stigma of MBC and its affect on relationships. I have remarked to my husband on several occasions that we no longer have friends; just old acquaintances. Seems everyone we knew just disappeared after finding out I had MBC. For me I am saddened by this but it is my DH that I really feel bad for. There will come a day when I am gone but for him, not only will he have lost me but what should have been his support network has also abandoned him simply because of me. This thought breaks my heart.
Now on to brighter thoughts. Have any of you discovered Meet Up groups yet? We have belonged to a couple of groups over the years and they can be very fun. The most recent one that we have joined is a fly fishing group. My husband and I have been fly fishing for some time now and just recently discovered this group. I thought this might be a great way to acquire new friends who do not know about my dx. My hope is that my husband will develop new relationships through this group that he may continue to enjoy after I am gone.
Minnie, you brought a smile to my face when you mentioned sitting up late at night talking with friends and family in Ireland. I am from a very large, very Irish family. Oh my goodness can we talk! When my husband first met me he stated that he was so lost when my family would get together because he couldn't keep up with the conversations. When I quizzed him about this statement he said "goodness, I have never seen or heard a group of people who can sit around a table and have not one but several topics of conversation going on all at the same time and all of you can respond jumping in an out". I laughed at him and asked him if it wouldn't be boring and dull if there was only one topic of conversation at a time. He looked at me with a very inquisitive look on his face. Well after 28 years of marriage he can somewhat keep up but still shakes his head from time to time because he has missed part of the conversation.

Very short of breath this morning. Actually started last night, lots of yawning. I know last Thursday my red blood counts were right within a fraction of being below low. So no telling where they are now. But starting to feel it today, very tired. I have no other SE's to make me worry about my heart or lungs. Have been anemic most of my adult life and although it's been a while, I feel like that might be causing the shortness of breath.
-
MJH~Hello there darling! Very nice to see you here. It feels like a long time sometimes, when you're constantly running around for different things. Before I wouldn't have thought twice about it. But honestly I never realized how easy it was to do things before cancer..Now... I forget sometimes if i have logged in to check our thread to make sure everyone's doing well. Medicine brain I call it. I so agree with the joint issues. I also take arimidex/anastrazole and I feel creaky every single day, even down to my toes, in the arch's of my feet. I loved to run answer I honestly miss it. I have been thinking of trying the elliptical again. Sometimes it's like my eyes are bigger than my stomach when it comes to the physical things I still think I can do. I have to stop and think. No honey that was your old self that could do that! Does anyone else feel clumsy? Because of the hormonal meds? I sometimes feel like I need to walk a little before I would fall! Ugh! Much love ~M~
-
Gracie~ I felt the shortness of breath sometimes on the medicine, do you have an inhaler? If it's causing you obvious issues, you may just want to call. Just so they know what's going on. Mine subsided, I kept breathing slowly and sat up right when I felt that way! Keep an eye on that! Drink a lot of fluids. A phone call may not be bad idea in case that have any helpful hints. Much love my girl!! ~M~
