Mae one show I have loved is The Affair on showtime. It is so well done and fantastic acting! A great unfolding of a story.
Also, rewatched Searching for Sugarman the other night. Such a fantastic film!! A must see!
Hi to everyone! Hello hello Mel! Hugs and love right back atcha my friend! ❤️❤️🌈
Hoping I can fall asleep here soon. I feel like I missed my window and got hungry instead and realized I’d forgotten to eat dinner so had a little late night snack and now feeling my eyes getting heavy.
Good night all! Be safe!

Booboo-thanks for asking about the Taxol. I am fairing pretty well. No hair loss yet, but I have only just finished the first cycle. Will deal if that happens. Encouraged to hear that it worked well for you. Sorry to hear of the progression. It is always a rough time for me, with at least one meltdown guaranteed.
Divine-I hated the day I found out I had progressed on Ibrance. It was so new and gave us all so much hope.I grieve when I progress. I do always feel better when the next regime is begun. Thinking of you.
Mae- I am COMPLETELY addicted to all British Crime Dramas! It you can get a hold of the Australian one called "The Code", it is great-just too short. Also, have you seen "Line of Duty"?
Love to each-Mary Jane
P.S.Has anyone heard from BigHome?
-
Mae, have you watched "The Night Of"? Latest one we have been watching.
-
Mindhunters was so good. What is the stairway about?
Second day after Gem/Carb the lower back pain started up again. UGH
But, the carpet guy is coming today. Yay. Praying that I can get my living room carpet replaced for what the insurance adjuster estimated, or maybe less. It sure needs it.💞

Pocket duty here- Mel.
-
Good Morning! Reporting for pocket duty Mel.
-
Good morning all. Mel reporting for pocket duty.
Welcome Bevjen
Rosie we were in Orlando for three days in a large house at a resort. My middle daughter lives across the street so if the house overflows some end up there. We have a screened front porch and lanai so even when it’s crowded it seems like there’s always some quiet place. The adults went out during the day and sometimes night. They went to river walk, a park, and the beach without me which gave me time to rest. Everyone left last night. The house needs a deep cleaning and I need a nap.
Boo boo and Divine I’m sad to hear of any progression. Booboo I go to Florida c specialists. Dr Zayas. I like it there it seems more personable.
Take care all
Tanya

Mel, I'm late reporting for pocket duty, but hope all went well for you.
Philly, I have 3 mos. of free Showtime and just discovered The Affair. Now I'm hooked!
Hugs and love to all.

Hello ladies ~ Thank you all
For the pocket duty..... its always nice to hear. The commotion, takes your mind off the crap.
My oncologist was very positive and has moved my scans out to every nine month intervals. He said since I’ve been so stable my 36 month of ibrance will start. I will begin one week on and one week off of ibrance each month.. still at 125 mg. They usually won’t change dose until white blood cells crash. Mine have never been abnormal. None of my tumor. Markers have ever been abnormal. So he felt I am in solid remission. I am totally thrilled with this information. Thank you. For all the support ! Love all of you ! -
So happy to hear this Micmel!!!!
-
Oh Mel,
That is awesome news! I am very happy to hear this. Congrats. We all want you to stick around for a long time
-
Yay micmel! And sorry, I think I missed that you had scans coming up and neglected to bring snacks to pocket duty.
Just booked my next adventure and got a fabulous deal. $25 tickets to a concert in San Diego (band has no dates in Texas) and $243 for a combined round trip flight and two nights at Sheraton. DH can’t go, he’ll still be on tour, so I invited my brother who is just over an hour away and likes the band.
-
Awesome news- Micmel!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy for ya.
-
I have watched a few episodes of “Killing Eve” and liked them. Otherwise I gravitate toward comedies if you guys have any suggestions there.
Off to Iceland! DS is also coming. And then a short trip to Toronto. Got my umbrella, rain boots and rain pants packed - quite a departure from our hot summer. I only hope that my blood test tomorrow won’t derail anything.
Hugs to all
-
Mel, Such good news! It deserves a 🥂🍾 😀😀😀
-
Micmel,
That is great news! I am so happy for you that you can take ibrance every other week. I hope I can follow in your footsteps a couple of years from now.
Mea,
Where do you find such good deals?
-
Nkb: a comedy, by the same author as Killing Eve - "Fleabag" - raunchy funny and also serious too
-
yayayayayay Mel!!!
✨✨✨👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾😚😚😚🤗🤗🤗😻😻😻❤️❤️❤️🧡🧡🧡💛💛💛💛💚💚💚💜💜💜💕💕💕🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌼🌼🌼🌼🌈
Happy dancing over here! Such great news to hear! Wow!! Amazing!! I get scanned when I want to at this point, my MO and I say we will scan if any of the following happen, “any new lumps bumps symptoms, oddities on bloodwork, or my anxiety gets to me and I need a new baseline.” My last scans were in May and I am having a neck MRI next week just to make sure my neck is okay cause Lynn last neck MRI and bone scans were “abnormal” which is of course confusing to hear!
Mae - exciting trip you got there!! Have a blast! Who’s the band?
Bliss - yes yes yes to the Affair!!! Soooooo goood! My friends and I love it!! I’be started the new season. It’s great already!!
Hugs everyone, especially those with progression who are facing anxiety and fear of medication changes and confusion and information-seeking.
Love,
Philly
-
Micmel, what wonderful news!!!!!!! I’m so very happy for you! Let’s all do a happy dance! Mine is like a little cha-cha-cha then turning into a conga line!

❤️Ty ladies

Simone80, I had planned to stay at a Marriott near the concert venue, so I signed up for their rewards program. While reviewing the website, I chose the flight/hotel deals section without expecting much but what a happy surprise. I’ve found some great deals staying places mid-week and off season.
Philly, the band is The Adicts, unknown to many on BCO, they’re an 80’s British punk band who dress like the hooligans from A Clockwork Orange, except for the singer, he’s quite the showman.
-
Wonderful news, Mel. So glad for you.
Mae, enjoy your trip. That is an awesome deal and San Diego is always nice.
-
wonderful need Mel!!
-
Mel what the whaaaat?!?! That is awesome news! Celebrating over here! It's not too often you hear an oncologist say remission when addressing Stage 4. This is hopeful and inspiring and wonderful and I'm so happy for you!
I watch The Affair too! Love it. Right now we're watching Succession. Just a few episodes in and it's great.
I have had the entire summer off and I start back to work on Monday. Good thing as I'm missing getting paychecks and and I love the routine. Bad thing becuase it was so relaxing and stress-free to be off work for so long. Still, I got a lot of mental straightening done and a lot of physical rehab done so it was a very productive summer as well.
-
Divine,
Hahaha. You are so funny.
