Has anyone asked about green tea?  Specifically, does it interact with an A.I.?  I am doing Lupron shots plus an A.I. and am exploring nutritional/alternative treatments as well.   Just want to make sure green tea wouldn't hurt the effective of my anastrazole.

AFAIK, the only contradiction for green tea is that due to its high Vitamin K content, it is inadvisable if you have to take blood thinners since it could cancel them out. At least that was what I was told when I was on warfarin to prevent thromboses in the weeks after my knee surgeries.

That's an interesting question, Kathy. I was told that it was fine to consume in reasonable quantities with both letrozole and exemestane but can't speak to arimidex.

My treatment center has an oncology pharmacist on staff to assist patients with questions about drug interactions, including with supplements and foods. It's a terrific asset and makes a lot of sense; you might check with your MO's staff or nurse navigator to see if there's a similar service available to you.
