Sudden change in implant shape!
Hi everyone. So I had my implant exchange in Dec of last year. Everything went as well as could be expected! Minus drains, pain, etc:) Anyways, I also just had some fat grafting done in May. Things looked great. Well they are a little bigger than I wanted but whatever! I just spent the last week at the beach on vacation with my family. Wore a 2 piece for the first time since I was in my 20s:) My foobs were rounded with nice projection and sat nicely on my chest. I have been noticing a little bigger gap in my cleavage area increasing over the last few months. The fat grafting helped a little and filled in some rippled areas. I took a nap on Saturday after getting home from vacation and when I woke up, I went to jump in the shower and noticed my left foob was VERY flat, like a hamburger bun. There is no roundness in the front and all I can say is tbat it looks like a hamburger bun now! My husband agreed, it looked totally different from just earlier in the day! Ive been searching the internet for anyone who had the same problem but Im just not finding any answers. My implants are silicone so I dont think its a deflation. I did have an alloderm sling put in at time of implant exchange....could that have detached??? I will call the dr first thing in the morning but was just wondering if anyone had a similar thing happen to them?

Petsgirl, I hope you have gotten your answer. This happened to me as well, just like you, I woke to find one implant flat in front. I immediately knew the implant had flipped over backwards while I was laying down (on my side). I went to the PS, he tried to suggest it was swelling subsiding from surgery, as this was about 5 weeks post op. I said no way, its backwards. I KNOW how it is supposed to look. He eventually agreed with me. Told me to "watch it" for 6 weeks, it may right itself. It did, the next morning I awoke and thankfully it was back right side up. However, 6 weeks later, the opposite implant flipped while I was sleeping, and it has remained backwards. I am now contemplating having them removed and have a consult for an sgap on Thursday. I have tried to manipulate the implant back to its proper position, but no luck.
How are you doing? Was it backwards? Did you get resolution? May I ask if it was that the implant had flipped if the PS wants you to have a revision of some sort? My PS recommended a revision to tighten my pockets, but also to replace my smooth rounds with the textured anatomicals. I don't want them as there is a slight risk of Lymphoms with the texture. Wishing you healing and strength.
