Intraductal Papilloma with inconclusive biopsy

Hi! I had a vacuum core biopsy completed for a Tumor found on my screening mammogram and then followed up by ultrasound which recommended a biopsy be completed due to Birad 4 classification. The biopsy came back as a benign intraductal Papilloma and was referred to a surgeon. The surgeon said it had to be removed and the biopsy is really inconclusive due to the small amount of tissue biopsied and could potentially still be found malignant. I had a lumpectomy today on my right breast. Has anyone had experience with this as well?

Hi, I'm 31 and going through the same thing. I had mine removed this morning and have an appointment with my surgeon next Friday for the results. I would like to know who else went through this and the outcome. And also to tell you that you aren't alone. We can wait together.

Thank you for your reply. I was beginning to think I was alone on this one. I have an appointment Thursday to go over my results with the surgeon as well. I'm still very uncomfortable after the surgery.
