It would be helpful if you had your diagnosis and especially your treatment in your profile for people reading this and trying to help. Type of chemo and treatment number etc. Also, the meds you are taking for side effects. Once we understand more hopefully there will be more responses.

I have. Taxol is known to cause bone pain muscle pain and even nerve pain. I even had headache along w toothache . Both aches disappear after about week. I had 3 DD Taxol and one more to go. I figuratively have been crying murder since Taxol #1. I could not sleep for more than an hour for the first four days after #1. I begged for pain killers for #2 and got some relief. Advil, Tylenol, painkillers, all kinds of numbing creams , twice a day epsom salt bath i am sure I forgot something else. There is no single remedy for these types of pains. I make epsom salt scrub to plaster all of my body. Sing my favorite songs as long as I could. Rinse. Take my Ativan pills. This ritual gives me better sleep than wo the bath.

I have pain in my hands and feet from Taxol with Herception. (I recently skipped 2 weeks of Taxol and then some of the pain went away and most of the finger numbness went away.) I have bone pain in my right foot that makes it difficult to walk sometimes... Apparently that's related to Taxol.

Acupuncture has helped ease the pain (he says it's related to the back). I also use a lotion that helps with pain (by Liberty Lixir).

I agree with wrenn. Some info would be helpful as to what chemo you are doing as different ones vary differently for us with different experiences. I had no pain with either my neoadjuvant 4 DD A/C or my adjuvant 12 weekly Taxol. Are you having Neulasta shots? These can cause a lot of pain for some (again I had no pain at all with them). Claritin is supposed to help.

I agree with Wrenn & Kicks. Several posters have mentioned Herceptin. That can be causative also. Are they taking Perjeta too? Is it neo-adjuvant? It is 6 rounds of Taxotere or 12 weeks or Taxol?

Please ladies, go to My Profile and post your diagnosis & treatment and make sure it's public.

I have had 2 sessions of Adriamycin, 3 weeks apart. I have 2 more, then weekly Taxol for 12 weeks. I have muscle pain with the Adriamycin which last for two weeks and is almost unbearable. The Advil and even Ultram don't help. Norco stops it but my doctor doesn't want me taking it if possible. Has anyone else gone through this? I also have fibromyalgia which the doc thinks is being exacerbated by the chemo. The pain is just horrible and constant.
