bb sized lump

hello, I was diagnosed with dcis in situ, stage 0 high grade. I had a dmx w immediate reconstruction in 2015, then fat transfer to the left breast. I now can feel a BB sized lump or hard place on the cancer side. Plastic surgeon thinks it could be scar tissue. Ultrasound tomorrow. Anyone else have this

swimmersmom, So sorry that you're (back) here with concerns about your breast health. I don't personally have experience with this, but I've read others posts on here who have. I had little lumps near my reconstruction that showed up about a year out from surgery. In fact, several women from my cohort experienced this but they turned out to be oil cysts. They are fairly common with any breast injury it seems. I hope that's all it is, and you get good news soon!

thank you so much for responding. My ultrasound and mammo went great! She said it was fat necrosis from where I had hada fat transfer. She told me to keep an eye on it because it shouldn't get bigger but to also gently massage it.
