Good for you, Kimhf. I find that the fear of the diagnosis, is almost as bad as the diagnosis. I was paralyzed by fear for two weeks after my diagnosis. I hid at my sister's house, for about 1.5 weeks, coming home at night to sleep. I did not want my kids to see me upset. I did see a counselor that I worked with on postpartum issues and slowly moved through the stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. Just hearing the words, you have breast cancer, changes your world. For some, it is a wake the hell up call and stop eating junk call, the get your butt moving call, and why are you still couch call.

And now that we have completely hijacked someone's thread, let that person get back to her issues.
