Has anyone tried using a nipple prosthesis? I had my reconstruction 3 years ago, am very happy with the way my breasts look but still haven't done anything about my nipples, but am thinking I'd like to do something. I don't want any more surgery so was thinking 3D tattoos (I tried the temporary tattoos and liked the way they looked) but then saw nipple prostheses on line (I think the ones I liked were from Pink Perfect). They look so real and are one step less invasive than tattoos. Just wondering if anyone has tried them, and were they covered by insurance (they're expensive, like $260 each).

Thanks!

Hi GabriellaM.I had Prosthetic Nipples made by Feeling Whole. I really liked them, wore it all the time before I got the 3D Nipple Tattoo by Vinnie Myers.I was pretty happy with them, but eventually wanted a permanent nipple which is why I got the tattoo. I actually went and saw Paul, the owner, who matched my other nipple. He was wonderful, did an excellent job. It actually fooled this doctor I saw for a consult, she thought it was real.

It was covered by insurance, while the tattoo was not, because I didn't see Vinnie Myers in a doctor's office. Stupid insurance, cheap bastards.
