I'm back!

Hi all! I'm back after 6 years. Having hip/leg pain. Had an xray today & see oncologist tomorrow. I'm not in a good place emotionally, which is very unlike me. Please, please share your recurrance story with me. Don't sugar coat it.

3/11 - bilateral mastectomy w/o reconstruction; 8 rounds of chemo.

HI there. I saw the 716 in front of your name and thought you might be from new York (area code). And see you're from Ashville. I'm not sure where that is as I'm in wny. But wanted to stop by and send some positive thoughts your way. I hope your xray is clear.  Keep us posted and I know others will be along soon to share experiences.

Bobbie Jo, of course you are not in a good place right now, but I really hope this turns out to be premature arthritis :P All I can tell you is that a couple of years after DX, I woke up in the middle of the night with mind-numbing pain in hip/leg. It was so bad that I could barely walk. Called doc in the morning and doc was VERY concerned. It turned out to be nothing. Hope it is the same for you.

If the pain is really in your leg, odds are it's not cancer. It's very rare for breast cancer to appear below the hip and the shoulder. If you're getting referred pain from your back, i.e. there's a disc problem or something is pinching the nerves in your spine, that could be a lot of things.

Hope the x-ray came back normal!
