Pain After Biopsy

I had an MRI-guided biopsy on May 25. Got the results today - B9 thank goodness. I am still having terrible pain from the biopsy (now a week ago). I am very bruised and swollen. I've had two other biopsies and never had anything like this.

I also have pretty high pain tolerance (I've had open heart/lung surgery), so my husband is concern that I am complaining about pain - I never complain about pain. I called my dr about it, but the office hasn't gotten back to me.

I did everything the radiologist told me to - wore a sports bra for a couple of days (and nights), iced, took the gauze and tape off after 24 hrs, left the steristrips in place...The tape from the gauze actually pull off some skin, so I have an abrasion as well. The steristrips are still in place, but I was told I could remove them tonight.

Has anyone else had pain that's lasted this long? I take blood thinners, so I am wondering if that is the problem.

I don't know if this is helpful because my lump was still hurting when I had the breast removed (biopsy 12/29/16, Mastectomy 2/17/17).My lump hurt very badly after the biopsy. It swelled up and I developed a hematoma. It takes a while for the pain to lessen. I'm glad your lump was benign! I hope it calms down very soon.
