Cold Caps and Relaxed Black Hair

Any experiences? My last relaxer was April 6th and I will start chemo the second week of June so it will be two months without chemically treating my hair before I cold cap but I want to know about any experiences with relaxed hair and cold capping. Was it effective? How much hair did you lose?

    Hi Tannniii. Hopefully someone with experience cold capping on relaxed hair will respond. I did cold cap but my hair is natural. I got my hair washed and straightened about 4 or 5 days prior to treatment. I held out a couple of weeks before I washed the first time. After that I washed weekly and manipulated my hair as little as possible. I lost about 25-30 percent of my hair. No one noticed but I certainly did😒. We are headed into the third week of June so I am assuming you have had your first chemo. I hope everything went well!
