6 month follow up on bilateral ultrasound

I had never had a manmogram or ultra sound done went n had both done and while mammogram came back normal the results for the ultrasound states appears normal however i need to get another in 6 months to ensure no changes have occurred. Can anyone offer a reason? Waiting on my Dr to return my call.

Generally it means that they identified likely benign (98% chance benign) areas in your breast and they just want a follow up to insure that there are no changes.
