Hi everyone

I had my FNA biopsy on Thursday at lunchtime, how long do the results usually take for a FNA to come back?

Thank you

Angela

    Thanks Hopefull2

That makes me feel better it's Saturday afternoon here and I thought if it was anything they would have called me yesterday, now I think I will relax 😊

My FNB was done about 3 in the afternoon, Radiologist who had done it said he would call me in the morning with the path. report. He called me at 8 that Fri morn -as he had expected -IBC.

It is not that common to get path. reports that quickly though unless 'something ominous is expected. It is more common for it to take days to weeks to get the report back.

    Hi Angela!

Usual doesn't really matter (and varies depending on where you had yours done and what their usual is)...what matters is what you should expect. If you don't have results first thing Monday morning, call the doc's office who ordered the test and ask them if they're back and if they say "not yet," when you should expect to have results. They may say "after we get the report from _____," But if they don't know when they expect it, ask if you can call _______ to find out when they expect to send it out (so that you won't be calling them repeatedly asking if it's in...).

Going forward, whenever you have a test or procedure, ask them when the report/test results will be available. That way you won't have to worry about when, and you'll also know when you should call to chase them down.

(When reports/results don't show up when scheduled, it sometimes means they've gotten lost in the administrative/bureaucratic processing of such reports and you have to ask people to "seek" the hidden (find the lost?).) ;-)

Hope your results are in first thing Monday!

    Hi ladies

I got my results this morning I have some benign "cystic changes" that they want to monitor closely over the next 6 months because the radiologist was expecting a different result. Right now I'm going to celebrate the B9 result
