Are you having a particular problem with it?

Mustlovepoodles: I took it in 2014 after my mastectomy and it gave me leg cramps. My oncologist suggested taking Effexor xr with it to help with hot flashes and mood swings.

I thought others might be adding something to it to make it more tolerable.

Why must you love Femara? You can always love another AI. I'm on Aromasin, and use Celexa to manage the mood swings. You can also try different generics of Femara -- some women tolerate those produced by particular manufacturers better than others.

Thank you. My onc and I are starting over again with the AI's. I couldn't tolerate Femara or Arimedex in 2014. I can't remember if I tried Aromasin.....I'll have to change the headline of this post.

    Thanks for posting.

Femara was just awful for me, breathing problems, heart problems, needed help getting out of a chair etc.........Arimidex was also a no go, but Aromasin has been loads better, still some symptoms but really only to do with lack of oestrogen.  I also take a natural anti inflammatory every day - Boswelia Serrata, and that has made a difference too.

    Good luck

Thank you Lily. I think I'll start with the Aromasin.

I have had great luck taking magnesium for leg cramps. I usually take one 500 mg every other night. You can pick it up over the counter at almost any grocery store or pharmacy.
