Hello, my name is Angie. I found out in Good Friday that I have stage 2 breast cancer. I have done a lot of research and found some helpful things so far. I have a had a great attitude but today I am feeling a little depressed. So far I have only been able to eat raw carrots with out making me nauseous. Any suggestions to this? I am very week in the legs. I am trying to work around the house with breaks but my husband is pushing to go for walks, I know I need to, but I don't feel like I can. How long will the weekness last??

Some good things I have found out about by chance. When they are pushing "red devil", chew on ice to keep mouth cold to prevent mouth sores. Also I read somewhere to paint your nails black to keep the sun from harming you nails even more.

Little bites of stuff throughout the course of the day, doesn't have to be a whole meal. For me, I really think the potential for nausea was higher with an empty stomach. Crackers, cookies, broth, whatever works. A go to for me was chicken broth with those teeny tiny noodles in it.

I also think exercise helps tons. Even if just a stroll around the block, the motto of our group when we were dong chemo was and still is, "everything counts"!I feel like exercise really helped me recover faster.

Hugs, before you know it chemo will be over and you can recover.
