Hello,

I hope you are all doing well.

I had a lumpectomy and radiation, and I think it will be good for me to see a massage therapist or physical therapist. I think it will be worth it just for the general benefits, but also because I am concerned about developing lymphedema. I wonder if anyone can recommend a massage therapist or physical therapist who can do a regular massage, but who is also knowledgeable about lymphedema. I live in Arlington.

Your hospital or cancer centre may have a masseuse on staff who is trained to meet the needs of oncology patients. Their rates are usually quite reasonable and it's nice not to worry about whether they understand the needs and restrictions.

The best trained people for the massage can be found at the local cancer center. They have all the adequate knowledge and friendly on pocket.
