Help re sourcing Mepitel film

Hi ladies,

I am trying to find a source of Mepitel film for a lady who lives in Los Angeles. Does anyone know a stockist there, or else somewhere online she could source it? It needs to be the Mepitel film, i.e.not Mepilex.

Mepitel One on Amazon is not the right product--but CVS pharmacy sells the correct product--the actual Mepitel Film--both in the stores and online. The biggest you can get is 4" squares though.

lexicoe is this the same as tagederm? I got the Mepitel from Amazon 100$ for 10 and it is a mesh looking stuff. I think it is wrong.

The Mayo Clinic Store (Mayo Clinic) in Rochester MN stocks Mepitel film in 2 sizes. They also have Mepilex but that is the wrong one for radiation. The Mepitel film itself is like sticky Saran Wrap/Tegaderm film used to secure mastectomy drains. 2 nurses (4 hands) needed to put it on well, takes more than one sheet to cover breast, chest, armpit. Keep it on throughout treatment and only replace as needed (patchwork style) since less friction on/off the better. Replace whole treatment at finish of radiation and leave on for 2 weeks post, trimming as it unsticks. I just finished proton radiation 2 weeks ago using Mepitel film with excellent results. Traditional radiation may have different instructions, don't know. Very slight redness on radiated side where I had previous skin damage (Lifetime of tanning) but breast mound and armpit look good. I know long term skin changes can keep happening for up to 2 years but I think I dodged most short term effects. Good luck!
