Taxol
Hello All!
I just had my third dose of Taxol on Friday, so four days ago and wondering if any of you who use/used Taxol had dryness in your chest and throat? The dryness feels much like it does after running in cold wind. Also, did fatigue kick your butt about day four or so?

Hi,
I am not stage iv and was stage 1 but I experienced some dryness from Taxol but I attributed mine to all of the steroids that I received. I was hyper for about two days after treatment then I needed massive naps. I would leave work at lunch and sleep in my car for 2 hours or so. I had treatment every week but some have it every three weeks. Hopefully, someone will come along soon and give you some other personal experiences. Good luck and be good to yourself!

Thank you KELL414240! I am so glad yours was found early and hope you stay cancer free.
Yeah, I was hoping to hear from more Taxol users. I have a friend who had other chemo drugs and she shared that she would get dryness in her chest and throat and even got thrush in the back of her throat. She also mentioned GERD because I have changed my diet to all veggies (as well as green smoothies 3-4 times a day), fruits, very lean protein and no sugars, It helps to hear from others that this is normal or maybe it's not normal, but I have learned that those who have actually experienced chemo have lots more insight than the docs and the pharmaceutical companies.I really appreciate you sharing your experience with Taxol. I noticed I am not too tired the day of chemo or the day after, but midway through day 2 and into day 3 & 4 I am beat and have major brain fog, so learning to find balance so I can continue to do all that I love to do.
Take care.

Hi HelenFaith,
I have not noticed dryness in my chest or throat. I have had 2 infusions of taxol and will have my 3rd tomorrow. I'm definitely feeling the fatigue and brain fog. Same as you, I am trying to find my balance so that I can continue to do what I love also! I have been posting on the weekly taxol for stage IV thread, so you might want to check that out for some more great information. Good luck and keep me posted on how you do on taxol!
