Breathing Changes during rads

Hi,

I'm on 7/20 today, when walking the dog this morning I noticed that to walk and talk at the same time makes me feel a little breathless, not in a major way, but noticeable, like I'd just been jogging instead of walking, I have noticed this all day today, and now I think about it, a little yesterday when I walk around.

I'm in for rads in an hour or so, and will speak to them, but just wondered if anyone else has had this happen? It could be unrelated to the rads, of course, but it pays to be sure.

Oh, by the way, I stopped smoking 7 weeks ago, so while I'm no longer a smoker, I guess I still have smokers lungs.

Shaz - hang in there. I had serious fatigue with rads. And yes, you may still have some residual lung problems from smoking. I quit smoking 4 years before my first diagnosis and worked REALLY hard to get back in shape. I walked 5 miles every day & worked out for an additional hour for 4 years - then BANG, breast cancer. I still had major fatigue with both chemo & rads - so don't blame it all on smoking. Hope it doesn't get unmanageable.

Thanks for the response MinusTwo, the hospital pretty much said the same, the fatigue is to blame for so much.

The problem with all this is that you never know what's normal, or what's something terrible happening. This group is so good for reassurance.

    Thankyou

    Sha.
