IBS or stomach mets?

Hey Lobular friends,

I haven't posted in quite awhile.

As far as I know, Im still stable with marrow mets for the last 3-5 years. I was diagnosed 5 years ago stage 3, but then officially diagnosed stage 4 3 years ago with marrow mets. Some oncs believe it was there right after surgery. So, could be 5 years.

Anyways, wanted to ask if anyone is experiencing diarrhea?

I have it daily but only after eating a meal. And, anti-diarrhea meds do help if I have to go out in public and eat a meal.

Im hoping I am just developing irritable Bowel Syndrome as I have other clinical symptoms of that.

I have not had any testing done yet.

I don't have any symptoms that usually go along with stomach/GI mets...like...bloating, vomiting etc...

Just wondering if anyone here has had this happen?

Hi jojo68. I'm sorry to hear you are not feeling well. I believe if you had cancer in the stomache or gi tract, not even diarrhea medicine would work as that is why my aunt went in and found it was cancer. Please keep us posted.

Hi rose! thank you...I will def keep u posted.

I also have higher level b12 (1130)...some docs don't consider that high, some do. But High vitamin b12 levels could also be a symptom of IBS as the B12 is not being absorbed, hence exiting higher levels measured...so confusing.
