This is my second episode of cancer. Today I had my first chemo with Carboplastin and Taxotere. The only problem I had was with the pre-medication. I thought I was going to jump out of my skin! My feet went crazy, I had a mini-meltdown, telling myself "I can't do this". After the chemo was started, I finally calmed down. Amyone else experience this and what did you do?

I'm sorry you're going through this. I had restless legs during the premeds and it sucked. Can't say I have any sage advice for you except to say that for me it did get better. I think that after the first infusion I was more prepared for it so it didn't bother me quite so much. You might ask that they slow down the flow and see if that helps.

Best of luck to you. You've slayed the dragon once before. I'm sure you will again!

If you are talking about that terrible feeling in your legs that makes you keep moving them, I had the same thing while on taxol if they pushed the Benadryl too fast. Ask them to slow it down. Tell them every time you go for an infusion. It might be a good idea to ask your doctor to write an order to that effect. hope this will solve the problem for you as it did for me.

Skiclaire, my MO laughed when I said, "yes! 2a, I did it once so I can do it again!"

Shetland Pony, I will remember to tell them to "slow the flow"

    Thanks!
