BI-RAD 5 AWAITING BIOPSY RESULT

Hi. I am a newby here. Routine mammo picked up hypoechoic ill defined solid region with tethering and distortion. BI RAD 5. Had biopsies done yesterday. ...now we wait. Amazing how last week i knew nothing breast terminology wise. This is one scary journey.

It is indeed scary. And the waiting times -- as to have procedures and results -- seem to be very long times.

When do you expect to learn of your biopsy findings?

Beehappy, honestly the waiting and worrying is the most horrible stage! I'm glad you'll get your results by tomorrow. I'm hoping for B9 results for you, but know that you have so much support here if not. ((hugs))

Hey. Tests came back positive. Lumpectomy booked for 3 May. Got first oncologist visit tomorrow to discuss treatment options.

Hey. Sorry only updating now. Have had the lumpectomy and sentinel node removed. Await results to find out if only radiation is needed or chemo and radiation. Will move to other post op forums now. Best wishes to all. This is a journey I did not plan but I know I don't have to do it alone.
