sad to say I am a Psychologist and am consumed with worry. Radiologist changed from fine needle to core and had very different opinion than first radiologist. He is going to give results to my surgeon but I picked up on his concern and called surgeon to expect results. I guess it best she explains, she did my moms and daughters surgeries. My grandma had bc too. I think I've always felt I would get it too. Age 51 and loving grandma to 3 and 6 children of my own, nursed all even twins.

Lisa, I totally get it-- I am another anxious psychologist. The waiting absolutely sucks, there is really no way around it. I am a firm believer in better living they pharmacology in these situations. Really, nothing else helps me. I get some kind of test every 6 months. It gets old really fast. High risk situation here

    Lisa,

I'm a therapist, and treated many folks with anxiety disorders. But those were folks who had a maladaptive anxiety response. You're having a normal response to an anxiety provoking situation. Give yourself a break and then use your skills - deep breathing, guided imagery, progressive relaxation, yoga etc. And, if you can, try to remember that 80% of breast biopsies are benign findings. I'm sending you good thoughts for B9 results!!

thank you. Having gone through with mom twice I'm a little scarred emotionally. But taking today to use positive coping skills to feel strong is the right self care plan for me. Tomorrow will be busy day but welcome distraction.

been on the 3 year every six month plan then moved to the surgical plan. I agree some medicines are distinctly called for under these circumstances!

Another therapist checking in. Cognitive and meditative strategies are great, and at a certain point, pharmaceuticals may be called for.
