Supraclavicular Node Swelling during Rads

Options

Hey everyone!

So I noticed while putting lotion on a few days ago that I have a swollen lymph node above my collar bone. I am currently getting radiation to breast, axilla, and the supraclavicular area. I'm assuming the swelling is from that. Has anyone else had this?

I will be seeing RO tomorrow but I just wanted to know before seeing him if this is a common thing or not. That way if he brushes it off and it is NOT common I can push a little harder.

Thanks ladies!

Ps- I had #25 of 33 today

    ?? Anyone?

I did show/talk to the doctor and he seems to think it's from skin irritation in that area. Maybe bacteria got in from my broken skin. We will be following it. He made a point of showing me pictures that they are radiating those lymph nodes. I'm assuming so I wouldn't worry that Cancer was growing...

He did also make it clear without actually saying outright that radiation itself wouldn't cause the nodes to swell. In case anyone is curious.

You had a lot of lymph nodes removed. Lymphedema is possible on the chest, so just keep watching it and discussing it. Happy Easter!
