I was just diagnosed with what I believe I was told was DCIS. I'm feeling alone and scared, in disbelief.

Hi deniselaura, and welcome to BCO. We are very sorry about your diagnosis, and we all know what a terrible shock it is. We are glad you found us here. BCO is the best place on the internet for information, understanding, and support about breast cancer concerns. You are not alone. We are truly a Community of Brothers and Sisters who understand and will support you through your breast cancer experience.

Look around in this DCIS forum section to read of the experience of other members similarly situated.

If you were diagnosed from a needle biopsy, there will be a surgery planned soon for you to have the rest of your tumor removed. When your surgery is scheduled, you might like to join the current monthly surgeries group in the forum section titled "Surgery -- Before, During, And After," where you will find information on what to expect and helpful tips to get you through your surgery recovery.

You can do this -- you will get through this. We are here for you.

    ((Hugs))
