So the DEXA bone scan today concluded I have this in my lumbar spine. Don't see doc until Wed. Do they normally put you on some med for this or it's only for osteoporosis.

Artista - I was put on meds for osteopenia several years before cancer. Did not like the biosphosphonates, so quit them & took mega calcuim w/D & changed my diet. I started doing weight bearing exercises, quit smoking & quit drinking cokes - all contributors. I brought my DEXA scan back up to normal. Unfortunately after the BC treatments I've now slipped into osteoperosis. And due to CIPN (neuropathy in my feet) I fell and broke my arm. I started Prolia shots every 6 months. So far, no problems but I won't have a DEXA until the end of this year to see if it's doing any good.

Thanks for sharing. What sort of dietary adjustments did you make? Along with this today they found on abdominal u/s that I have a 2 cm gallstone in gallbladder. Have some side pain and a UTI that remains after a course of oral abx to deal with. Oh and on a side note, looks like my guinea pig has a bladder infection or stone so off to the vet I go hopefully tomorrow her vet can get me in. Fun times!
