Hi Everyone,

I am 54 years old and I felt a lump in my left breast 2 weeks ago and made an apt with my Dr who then sent me for a diagnostic mammogram. After the mammogram I had a sonogram and immediately after that the radiologist came in and just blurted out that I had a mass in my left breast and it appears to be cancer. I was shocked but somehow managed to pull myself together and I had a core needle biopsy the next morning (which by the way wasn't as bad as I imagined) and am now awaiting results. I was told that the lump has spiculated edges and that's why it is so suspicious. I was wondering if anyone else had a mass that was spiculated but was benign?

Sorry you are going through this. Did they give you an idea of when to expect results? Waiting is really hard.

KmbrII54, So glad you don't have too much longer to wait for results, waiting is awful. Please try to take good care of yourself this weekend. Distraction is a good thing, binge-watching Netflix, listening to music, long walks, warm bath, relaxation/yoga/meditation, cooking, being with people you care about. Try to get good sleep and don't forget to breathe! ((hugs)) and hoping for B9 results for you.

Thank you for your kind words. Waiting is awful! I'm trying to be prepared for the worst but hope for the best.
