Under breast skin split after rads complete. Haaaalp

Options

Hello!

I finished radiation last week. About two weeks in I noticed under my breast was itchy, followed by redness, followed by the little dark dotty things, followed by crusty looking grey/ brown skin. This progressed and my first week after finishing treatment.... every day is worse. The split is super tender and sensitive and raw. My breasts are huge and there is NO WAY my under boob will ever catch a breeze unless I'm splayed out topless with my arm raised and my other arm hoisting her up!

How is this ever going to heal???

I work! Haven't worn a bra in a month! There is no way I could stand it under. Have rolled up cotton tshirts, nom stuck gauze etc...

I've used everything you have ever heard to use. Just got the silver sulpher whaterever cream today.

I asked the rad once is the goal to keep it moist or dry? He said 'yes' 😂😂😩

Haaalp. What has worked for you? Will I ever wear a bra again! Once spring comes I'm gonna look awful funny with my cardigan and scarf layers to camouflage my sad long breast!

Thanks for listing

I used a piece of a cotton t shirt against my skin between me and my non underwire bra. You may have to find a light weight bra or maybe a cotton tank that you can mold around your breast. It can be done. My Skin blistered and peeled along the underside as well.

Thank you! I have used the rolled up cotton tshirt and a front fastening (non supportive) wireless bra. Even that light weight bra applied too much pressure. 😑Now it's very raw, bleeding (not massively just on the non stick gauze and so tender.

I have a feeling it needs to get like this before it will get better.

I just don't know how it's supposed to heal when it's always trapped in my humid underboob
