Cautionary news story about turmeric

Fellow fans of turmeric, please see the startling story below about a San Diego woman who died earlier this month after receiving turmeric intravenously (!) as a treatment for eczema, of all things. (I wistfully remember when eczema was the most serious health problem I had.)

I think that most of us here are smart enough not to attempt intravenous turmeric!--but I also know that facing a life-threatening disease like cancer can make us feel desperate enough to try things we wouldn't ordinarily do: "what have I got to lose?" So this is just a word to the wise.

Thank you for the link. It also contains high amount of oxalate and is not good for people with gallstones, according to Livestrong (which cites NIH).

What the ever-loving ??? Intravenously? That is just nuts. I hope the quack who did that goes to jail.
