Saw my pcp last week and she did a routine EKG. I'm 52. Last Aug I saw the cardio last to see if there are changes from pre chemo echo and post chemo and rads echo. I went from everything looked good pre txs to slightly enlarged atrium and a little back flow through a valve. My mind went to Adriamycin and rads as my tumor was on the left side. The card doesn't have an appt available until 6/8.

My EKG showed "T-wave inversions in T2 and T3. Eval and treat."

Anyone have this result? I did what we shouldn't do and google what T-wave inversions could be caused from:

"Inverted T waves are seen in the following conditions:

  • Normal finding in children
  • Persistent juvenile T wave pattern
  • Myocardial ischaemia and infarction
  • Bundle branch block
  • Ventricular hypertrophy ('strain' patterns)
  • Pulmonary embolism
  • Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy
  • Raised intracranial pressure

T wave inversion in lead III is a normal variant. New T-wave inversion (compared with prior ECGs) is always abnormal. Pathological T wave inversion is usually symmetrical and deep (>3mm)."
