Lost Voice??

Options

I'm down 17/25 radiation treatments to the chest wall, axillary and super-clavicle lymph nodes. For the past couple of days, I've been losing my voice and today it's almost completely gone. Has anyone experienced this or had it mentioned as a side effect?

I'll ask my RO at today's appointment, but I'm not thrilled with her so I'm seeking out other's experience as well.

I did not lose my voice, but I did have a scratchy throat for the first couple of weeks. Would start a couple hours after treatment and get better over the weekend. I also got supraclavicular lymph node radiation. I asked the techs if I could put my chin up further during treatment (to get farther away from the beam), and they said no problem. It went away after that.

My RO denied that radiation could cause a sore throat, "impossible" she said. I also had nausea, mild but undeniable. The RO said impossible and offered to send me to GI (??!!) but the MO said lots of women complain of nausea. It went away too.

Hope your throat gets better!!! :-)
