Hi Connie-
We have some information on our main site about what you can expect during and after a lumpectomy: http://www.breastcancer.org/treatment/surgery/lump.... Keep in mind that this is general information, and every surgery and recovery is different. You may also find our lumpectomy lounge thread helpful, lots of great info there and other members who can answer your questions: https://community.breastcancer.org/forum/91/topics/800729?page=760#idx_22771. We completely understand being scared, though, and we hope your surgery goes smoothly and that your recovery is swift! Please keep us posted!

You should not cancel your surgery. I had mine on a Thursday and was back at work on Monday. It's really not that horrible

hi Connie, whatever you do , do not cancel your surgery. Your girls need you around for a long time, the only way to be here for them is to get it removed. Can you rey setting up a Go fund me page, if you have social media you can put your your page on there. You can also set up payment plans for your light bill. And surgery won't be bad. I had a full mastectomy and that was completely tolerable. Whatever u do please do not cancel surgery.
Hugs
