What exactly does this mean ?

No one ever explained it to me, except to say what they cut out of me was ER & PR positive. Good thing ? Bad thing ?

I have looked it up, but am still not really understanding it.

Also on my report it says Atypical Lobular Hyperplasia, and Ductal hyperplasia, Along with some other stuff. I am sooo lost when it comes to all of this stuff. & I know I should understand what it all means. .

I put this stuff in a folder & just now found the folder, I am sure its nothing to be worried about, or the Dr. would have said something, I am just curious.

Thank you :)

The er/pr+ means that your cells habr estrogen and progesterone receptors so it needs estrogen and progesterone to grow.  If you actually had carcinoma, part of your treatment would be to take either tamoxifen or one of the aromatase inhibitors to starve your cancer to death.  er/pr+ is good news!

Hyperplasia is faster growing cells than normal.  I imagine that your health care team will want to follow you.
