Hi All;

I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and currently looking at different options for mastectomy. While searching online I came across this CO2 laser surgery options that is completely outpatient. It seems like a good option; given the fact that you do not need to check into the hospital but there isn't too much information about it out there. Does anyone have any experience with this surgery or knows someone who had it done? The doctors name is Dr. Vincent Ansanelli - does anyone know anything about him? Any information will be helpful and appreciated. Thank you in advance for everyone's help.

    Hi Ally,

    I looked through PubMed and he doesn't seem to be published in peer reviewed journals. On his website, he has a link to one article that was published back in 1986, but there don't seem to be other studies where they were able to reproduce the results. It is interesting that he would reference an article so old, more than 30 years, and no other. I would also wonder if insurance covers it, or considers it "experimental". Sorry I couldn't be of more help
