I've was diagnosed with LCIS in the breast opposite of my original cancer from a year ago. I decided to go to MD Anderson for a second opinion and didn't get much information or help from the surgeon I saw. The imaging department was very thorough, but the surgeon didn't have the information from the screenings to advise me a story to what I should do about the LCIS.

I was expecting to go there and have a surgeon review my history with me, go over the pathology, and give me advise. That didn't happen, and I don't understand why. I communicated that this was what I wanted, and was told when I booked my appointment that this would happen.

What have other people experienced when being treated there?

I will say the imaging was by far the most thorough I have had to date. I am awaiting results of a biopsy they did, but still feel there was a lot of miscommunication/non-communication about what is going on with my breasts.
