ACS: ONE BILLION $$$ to be cut from Cancer Research!

The new Administration's budget proposal will cute $1 billion for cancer research if it passes. That is bad news for all of us hoping for a cure, better treatments, etc. The American Cancer Society suggests signing this petition. You can also contact your reps by phone or email and voice your concerns over this proporal. We need to speak up!

    I read he's making these cuts to increase military spending with out raising the deficit. And he knows there's going to be an outcry. Also found that they they think these cuts will rearrange priorities. He wants to get the costs of drugs down. I don't know what to make of it. Fox is too busy talking about the 38 million in taxes he paid in 2005. Thanks Rachel Maddow.

    Hmmm, more military jobs. More factory, software, more people with jobs with good benefits. Loose something, gain something I guess.

    Maybe it's an effort to get these research companies to cut the waste and prioritize... NIH is govt, govt known for wasting right? I haven't heard the justification yet
