recently diagnosed with her2 positive post lumpectomy with clean margins. Seeing surgeon next week for post-op visit and hopefully will get complete path report. Anybody have isolated tumor cells found in sentinel node biopsy?

Yes, and I was also Her2+. I had 20 IST found in my single SNB, but it was not seen in the OR at the time of BMX, this was discovered later in the lab when the more thorough exam is done. Both my BS and MO insisted on ALND surgery due to the aggressiveness of Her2+, and the surgery was done 5 weeks later. A .5cm positive node was found further up in the axilla. My BS is not a reactionary surgeon, does not routinely do ALND, and is one of the pioneers of SNB.

yes, I had a tumor almost the size of the original tumor in the node. I'm not her2+ though

Thank you all I will be seeing the surgeon for the first time Friday and very anxious to see pathology report. It seems like it has been forever waiting for all tests, Still have a couple of weeks to see oncologist. Scared to hear the details, but I tell myself that once I have a course set it will be better for my mental state. I know you all understand and for that I am grateful.
