Hi everyone!

Would love to get someone's thoughts. I'm 38, no kids and recently found an indent on the lower outer quadrant of my left breast when I raise my arm. Its only obvious when I raise my arm. I went to my doc who could see it too.

I had an urgent referral to breast clinic where I got an ultrasound and mammogram. Both were clear. The consultant then said that they see this type of presentation from time to time, tethering, dent, no lump so he is referring me for an MRI.

Anyone else get a diagnosis after having a clear mammogram and ultrasound?

Just not sure what would cause the indent if there was nothing there?

Thanks for all your thoughts in advance.

    Sarah,

I cannot speak from experience, as I presented with a palpable lump, but I have heard women on these forums with indents that ended up being "nothing". Hoping for B9 results for you, I know waiting is the absolute worst!

Hello, So Sorry you have to wait. Likely, all will check out with no problems. I am impressed with your

doctor, however. Better to be cautious. Small world, I read your post as I am waiting on MRI results Smile

    Hi Sarah,

This was the case with me. I had bleeding from my nipple, nipple retraction and a slight enlargement of my left breast over a week. Both mammo and u/s were negative but MRI lit up my DCIS. I'm thankful for their diligence. My breasts were very dense. I had a bilateral mastectomy and now am being evaluated for a reoccurrence in a lymph node . Good luck and I'm sorry for your anxiety and waiting but early and rapid diagnosis is everything! Good luck and always be your own advocate.

    Hi Hodges and Mim

Thank you both so much for your replies. What a super community this is! I called radiology so they said I should get an MRI within six weeks.... long six weeks :)

Its all so odd, as presuming its all clear, how suddenly this noticeable dimpling area just shows up. I need some type of answer either way so will be delighted to get the MRI done and behind me.

    Thanks so much!

    Sarah
